Inner Work for coaches

Inner Work for Coaches

Inner Work for Coaches is about a process that supports and facilitates learning about the content and process of our inner worlds. It facilitates understanding of our inner worlds in a psychological and energetic way. The process focuses on the integration of ways of working with personal, relational, and professional development.

The idea of ‘inner work’ may give the impression that this work is all about “me and my self.” This is not the case; inner work is inclusive of, and integrated with, relational work: work that focuses on other human beings, near and far. Participants in this program will increase their knowledge of psychological mindedness and of their own inner world, which is key to understanding the inner world of others. As well, it may include work that is conscious of, and related to, that which is beyond the human: nature, the environment, the planet, and the cosmos.

The Inner Work for Coaches Program consists of 10 two-hour units. The program is largely practice-based and skills-driven. Theorizing is provided in doses to frame, and it supports coaching practice and skill-building. The theorizing that will arise out of practice experience will be a crucial part of the learning. Each unit integrates and builds on previous concepts, its applications, and skill-building practices.

The program will address three overarching areas: 1) expansion of awareness and development of consciousness of the inner world; 2) addressing that which arises in consciousness in the process of paying attention to the inner world; and 3) integration of the elements of awareness/consciousness and that which comprises the inner world.

Participants may complete this module on its own or as a continuation of other Coaching Modules. Completion of this module, including all required journaling, reflection, participation, and attendance, will result in 20 hours of credit towards continued coach education.

Inner Work for Coaches program is delivered by Dr. Avraham Cohen.
